Remember Gilad Shalit

June 25, 2009 marked the third anniversary of the abduction of Gilad Shalit. He is still held captive by Hamas in Gaza. Share this article entitled “An Ocean of Peace,” about a story Gilad wrote as a child about coexistence, with your students. Use the accompanying lesson plan to explore with your students Biblical images of coexistence and do creative writing and/or artwork to express their visions of peace.
