The Battle for Jerusalem


In this article, students will learn about the battle to reunify Jerusalem in the Six Day War of 1967.

Lesson Plan (printable)

While learning about Zion Karasenti’s experiences during the Six Day War, students will be encouraged to place themselves in his shoes. Using a map activity along with a poetic narrative, students will follow Zion on his journey throughout Israel, culminating with his arrival at the Kotel.
