Children and artists in communities across Israel and around the world have read Gilad’s story, which so far has been translated from Hebrew into English, Arabic, and Russian. Their drawings, inspired by Gilad’s tale, have turned into exhibitions—and now a book—that remind viewers that Gilad Shalit remains in captivity, and that children are often wiser than their parents when it comes to accepting one another.
