OPEN TO ALL

A synagogue should feel like a home and should welcome all of its members equally. There are many small details that can help make a synagogue easily accessible for people with disabilities.

To be considered "accessible," your congregation must overcome three barriers:

1.
The physical barriers that make it difficult for persons with disabilities to enter the building;
2.
The communication barriers that make it difficult for people to see, hear or understand what's going on;
3.
The social barriers that make people with disabilities feel unwelcome.
